Trail notes and photos:
The Cedar Gulch trail leaves the parking area and climbs gradually to the trail junction. The switchbacks provide views of northern Golden and North Table Mountain Park. Below are cottonwoods among Tucker Gulch.

This is a great trail for views and feeling farther out than you are, without driving far from Denver. I recommend doing the loop clockwise for the best views.

Along the western side of the loop is a burn area from some years ago. In May it was filled with flowers and undergrowth sprouting among the blackened trees. The new among the old.

The valleys are gorgeous in the spring after some rain, like when I took these photos. Spring storms still threatened, which highlighted the mountains in the distance.

The wildflowers were spectacular in May.
