Trail notes and photos:
Steep but fairly short climb through large aspen stands, with great views of mountains to the south. Rewarded with small, quiet Whitney Lake with a view of Whitney Peak. Plenty of rocks for a break in the sun, trails around the lake for exploring, or backcountry campsites for those wishing to stay the night.

  1. This is a beautiful hike! There are a lot of flies, so make sure you take bug spray. But it is worth the hike!
